Commissioning your own piece of jewellery is a hugely rewarding process, and remarkably simple. I work a lot in this way, and enjoy the collaborative process of designing alongside a customer. You can be as involved in the process as you wish - from contributing design ideas to hands-on creation of the jewellery.
The whole commissioning process usually takes about 4-6 weeks, and works something like this:
- you contact me with a commission
- we discuss various options over the telephone
- a few days later, you will have a rough quote
- meeting to discuss design ideas
- after the final design has been confirmed, a 50% payment is taken to cover costs and materials
- your finished item of jewellery will be with you in a few weeks. The remaining 50% is paid upon completion.
